This novel of over 110 thousand words is also available in hard copy and for either radio or television. The evil genius behind many murders and attempts on Ann’s life finally brings on his own execution by the Queen’s Guards of his home country.Technical Advancement has slowed.

A few airplanes have capability in three Performance Regimes: Subsonic- Supersonic- and marginal Space Operation. US Spacecraft are operating within the local solar system. Other planets are more advanced. On Planet K9, Human Development is accelerating. People are more intelligent and empathic, especially when very young. Telepathic Talent with communication between an unborn (embryo) child in the womb and its Mother is evolving. Mind reading is unusual. Decision and reaction time are faster.Condensed From Chapter OneAnn Carter is an embryo in her Mother’s womb.

She is two weeks old, very advanced in physical development. Mental development is more advanced. She remembers the night before, but chooses to read it, like a book from her Mother’s memory.Captain Dianne’s MemorySilently Captain Dianne’s hand locked on to the pistol that was always under her pillow on the Fleet’s second largest Spaceship, which was the primary force for good in this Galactic Sector.

She automatically released the safety.Patrol Ships were always under some threat. But, usually not a threat that resulted in a loaded, cocked, safety-off, pistol under the Captain’s pillow.Captain Dianne was pregnant. While not a sufficient reason for extreme steps for protection, three days ago, she had received a threat to shoot her two-week-old embryo in her womb. Letters were cut out and pasted on paper. A sketched map of her stomach was included showing exactly where three shots would be placed to be sure to kill the embryo.

Both she and the unborn child could die. Within an hour, her husband had her in the hospital with the best medical and security care. They did not know who or why anyone would want to murder them. Two nights later, Dianne was fixing her hair in the private room’s bath. Her maid and friend, Cindy, was hanging dresses in Dianne’s closet and keeping watch on Dianne through the open bathroom door.

The locked outer door opened silently, unlocked by an expensive automatic lock-pick. The intruder had a silenced pistol. Mistaking Cindy for Dianne, he shot her three times in the stomach, bracketing where a two-week old embryo would have been. Dianne stood in the bathroom door and shot the intruder.Synopsis From a Later Chapter.Ann’s planet has an older human race having only hand-to-hand Tribal Wars which usually involve young fighters from only two tribes.

All young are taught unarmed martial arts with and without killing results. Youngsters constantly practice simulated fighting with friends, and even with other tribes. In many towns, simulated battles are monitored by a judge. The goal is to make it seem real without injuring the opponents.Sex distinction is unknown. Ann is well trained and admired. She is fast in both learning and application. Her fame spreads.

Where her skill, good heart and very fast reaction speed are not believed, resentment results.Ten fighters from another tribe try to kill her. Ann stands among their bleeding bodies and realizes that she can stop a lot of killing.

She saves them all and begins teaching a No Kill policy.
